About Us

Monaghan Veterinary Laboratory was formed in 1966 at our headquarters in Monaghan to provide a diagnostic and advisory service to the poultry industry, which is largely based in Monaghan. The emphasis on disease prevention and proper diagnosis made this a very successful enterprise. The success of this company and the requirement for reliable approved products in Ireland at that time led to the formation of Agrihealth.

Agrihealth was formed in 1969 providing animal health products and equipment to trade customers in the Republic of Ireland.

Ireland joined the EEC in 1973 and the next 20 years saw farming develop rapidly throughout Ireland. A new type of farmer emerged. This new farmer expanded production rapidly and his requirement for reliable approved animal health products increased dramatically. Agrihealth expanded its range of products to meet these demands and established a network of suppliers throughout Europe.

In 1972 Agrihealth N.I was formed providing the same services to trade customers in Northern Ireland and the UK market.

In 1986 Agrihealth expanded further into the veterinary business by purchasing the pharmaceutical company Silke Pharmaceuticals Limited which sells to Vets and Chemists.

Our customers have been loyal to us over the years. They have continued to support our company through good and bad times. For this we are very grateful. Today Agrihealth continue to provide the same excellent service to our customers in Ireland and the UK. Farming continues to evolve and we at Agrihealth endeavour to meet those changes with quality products and service. All of this could not be achieved without our team of dedicated staff. Our Staff have contributed enormously to this success over the last 37 years and continue to do so today.
